Everyone that lives in Garner has a favorite event from the year that they just wouldn’t miss. For my family we love the movies on the Lawn at Lake Benson and the annual Christmas parade. We’ve started more than one tradition surrounding events in our water tower town. I wanted to share 12 ideas you could do in 12 months with your family or friends to get to know our community better.

July – The fireworks at Lake Benson Park
Aug – Go Outside and Play Now park
Sept – Dinner, drinks and live music on the patio at Aversboro Restaurant
Oct – Picking pumpkins, hay rides and the corn maze at Ken’s
Nov – Walking the trails and learning about nature at White Deer Park
Dec – Light Up Main and the Garner Christmas Parade on Main St.
