Downtown Lillington is undergoing a facelift thanks to a façade grant program established by the Town of Lillington. Efforts to recruit new businesses are also underway as a part of the town’s participation in the NC Small Town Main Street Program which supports downtown revitalization and redesign efforts. “This is an exciting time for Lillington – our downtown area is taking on a new look and we are working towards making our downtown a destination with the addition of new restaurants and shops,” said Nancy Guy, Director of the Lillington Chamber of Commerce.
The Lillington Chamber of Commerce, with over 160 members, is a champion for local businesses and organizations and utilizes numerous methods to promote The Shop Local Initiative. Started by the Dunn Chamber of Commerce, all area Chambers now work together to support this initiative and provide outreach to the public as well as local government entities about local shopping and entertainment options.
