Come one, come all!!! Calling all members of the community in the McGee’s Crossroads area to come out and support the 50/210 Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary Relay for Life team at their spaghetti dinner on Thursday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a great way to take care of dinner without having to cook. The dinner will be held at the 50/210 Fire Department located at 50 Greenleaf Dr. Angier, NC 27501 in the McGee’s Crossroads area.
All proceeds from the event will go the Johnston County Relay for Life – 50/210 Fire Department team. Plates will be $7.00 and will include spaghetti with either meat sauce or spaghetti sauce and bread. Eat in or carry out will be available.
Purchase one of our “Boots for Cancer”. For one of our fundraising projects, we are painting boots. We have taken unusable fire boots and painted them with different colors to be representative of different types of cancers. Anyone can “sponsor” a boot. The boot will have your business name/fire department/family name painted on the boot along with the year of sponsorship. The boots will be given to your business/department/family after the Relay for Life walk on June 7, 2014 for a keepsake item. When you sponsor a boot, you pick the color you would like for the boot to be and what you would like the boot to say. This makes the boot personal for you as the one sponsoring the boot. The cost of sponsorship is $35.00.
We are so very thankful to Smith’s Nursery and Produce Farm for sponsoring this event! Smith’s Nursery is a locally owned and operated family business. Located at 443 Sanders Road in Benson NC, Smith’s Nursery has so much to offer… strawberries, blueberries, ornamental plants, and ice cream, as well as a large assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables. We applaud their dedication in the fight against cancer and we encourage you to thank them by patronizing their business! Strawberry season and spring planting is just around the corner and you will love what they have to offer!
These are not fundraisers for the fire department in any way, shape or form. All the money raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society. Your donation would be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Remember – cancer affects one (1) out of every three (3) Americans. Together we can make a difference. Has cancer affected someone you know or love? We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, February 27th at 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
