You don’t have to look far to realize that spring is upon us. Daffodils and crocus are popping up in yards across the area and the robins are back. This time of year everyone is anxious for those warm days that remind us summer is just around the corner.
One tradition that my family has started includes celebrating spring at Garner’s Spring Extravaganza. This year’s extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Benson Park. Here’s a schedule of all the fun!
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Photos with the Bunny, Carnival Games, Crafts & Kite Flying, Roving Magic, Touch-A-Truck, Face Painting, Balloon Twisting
10:00 a.m.: Australia’s Seona McDowell
10:40 a.m.: Magic Show
11:15 a.m.: Australia’s Seona McDowell
12:00 p.m.: Egg Hunt
There will be a variety of activities including a live concert by children’s entertainer, Billy Jonas, crafts, carnival games, inflatables, delicious food vendors and so much more. Be sure to bring your camera to have a picture taken with the Easter Bunny!
If you’re new to the area or haven’t been to Lake Benson in awhile come by and say ‘hi’ to old neighbors or meet new friends. These type of community events are what make living in this town so special!
